What are the system requirements for sending payments to IBAN and non-IBAN countries?

  • IBAN Countries (EU and non-EU):
Both IBAN and BIC are mandatory for processing payments.

  • Non-IBAN Countries:
You must provide the account number along with the relevant branch code or, BIC/SWIFT or FEDWIRE.

What if I’m sending a currency that’s not local to the destination country? (non-IBAN country)

If you're sending a currency that is not native to the recipient country (e.g., sending GBP to the US), follow these guidelines:

  • If sending USD to the US:
Use account number and FEDWIRE as the financial institution.

  • If sending a non-USD currency (e.g., GBP) to the US:
Use the account number and the BIC/SWIFT as the financial institution - Do not use FEDWIRE in this case.

What are the requirements for local payment?

For local payments, use the account number and the appropriate branch code or BIC. Here are some examples:

  • GBP Payments (UK):
Use the 8-digit account number and 6-digit sort code.

  • DKK Payments (Denmark):
If a full IBAN is not available, you can submit a local instruction as follows:

    • Beneficiary account number: 52000000000005

    • BIC/SWIFT input: DK followed by the first 4 digits of the account number → DK5200

    • System input account number: Last 10 digits → 0000000005

Note: All outgoing payments depend on routing permissions. If you're unsure which payment rails you're enabled for, please contact your Commercial Account Manager.
