Incoming payment has arrived less?
If you've received a payment that is lower than expected, please contact the sender directly. In most cases, the discrepancy is due to fees deducted by the sender’s bank or an intermediary bank during the transfer process.

Please note that Banking Circle does not deduct any fees when crediting funds to your account.

I received a payment in a different currency than expected?
We suggest you ask the remitter for a copy of the MT103 to see what the sender bank instructed. There are a couple of reasons this might happen,

  1. Currency conversion by the sender’s bank or their intermediary:
It could be an error by sender, you must always ensure your sender knows what currency to send your account. Another possibility is, the payment gets converted along the way. The sender can check with their bank and request the MT103/payment confirmation. Key fields to review are:
  • :32A: – The Final amount and currency intermediary settled to Banking Circle
  • :33B: – The original amount and currency sent by sender bank

    Example:
    :32A:250513EUR67025.75
    :33B:DKK500000

    2. Unsupported currency:
If your account doesn’t support the currency sent. Example: remitter instructs USD to an EUR account held with Banking Circle. We will automatically do an FX USD to EUR or apply funds to your default currency.
